Bring the fun back into Christmas by cooking this quick and easy mince pie recipe. Cook your mince pies in style with our stripy aprons, striped double oven gloves and tea towels. We also have kid’s stripy aprons for your little helpers!
Mince Pie Recipe:
250g (8oz) Shortcrust Pastry or Puff Pastry
250-350g Mincemeat
Beaten Egg
Icing Sugar
Roll out the pastry thinly and divide in half and cut into 6 cm rounds to fit patty tins. Fill with about 1 dessertspoon of mincemeat. Roll remaining pastry and cut out 5cm lids for the pies. Moisten the edges of the pies with water and cover with lids pressing the edges to seal. Brush with egg, make a slit in the top of each and bake in a hot oven (Gas Mark 6) for about 20 min. Remove and cool. Dredge with icing sugar and ENJOY!

Short Crust Pastry:
- 250 g plain flour
- 125g butter
- 2-3 water
- ¼ Teaspoon salt
Sift flour and salt into bowl. Cut butter into the flour with knife and rub it in with fingertips until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Sprinkle with water and knead until smooth. Roll out lightly onto a floured surface using a floured rolling pin.
