Green Fabric

The Owl and the Pussycat went to sea
In a beautiful pea-green boat,
They took some honey, and plenty of money
Wrapped up in a five-pound note. (Edward Lear: publ.1871)

Green should always be the one of the first colours to consider when choosing fabric for that redecoration project, upholstery hobby or for those new curtains you must have to spruce up the living room. This highly underrated colour is having somewhat of a renaissance. From a psychological standpoint green is the colour of growth, the colour of Spring, of renewal and rebirth and as such can have a powerful effect on the psyche. Green is a little bit of a multi-layered colour for instance a deep green can evoke thoughts of power and wisdom while a lighter green can evoke thoughts of freshness, spring and general happiness.

Now we might not have any pea-green boats available (striped or otherwise!) but The Stripes company does have a delectable selection of green fabrics plain or striped for use around your home. There are green fabrics for the outside, from deckchairs to sun shelters, green fabric for the inside such as Green and White Gingham tablecloths or roman blinds, green curtain fabric and for the technologically inclined out there we even have green ipad/kindle covers!
