Tour de France Deckchairs in Harrogate

Our friend Sophie Binns who has a wonderful shop in Harrogate ‘Sophie Likes’ also rents out Deckchairs in Harrogate which she bought from us and covered in The Stripes Company deckchair fabrics. What a Stunning Victorian Chesterfield!

Kate from the Original Chair Company has sent us some photographs of an original Victorian Chesterfield c. 1880 with horsehair stuffing and sprung throughout.

She tells us that It arrived in a very sorry state, dusty, sunken seat and generally unloved. The upholstery was requiring restoration but the legs were in good condition with the original brass casters.

We have had a few customers recovering these sofas in our fabrics and the results are spectacular – please see our Gallery pics for more examples.

This one has been recovered in our Karting Pink Interior Stripe Fabric, piped exactly as the original and all the stripes beautifully aligned.  We think that it looks stunning!
